Independent Sales and Referral Representative

Onward Upward Sports & Events runs multi-sport programming and social events across Chester County, and works with venues to add revenue-generating amenities, most at no cost to the venue. We have programs and events selling today, and we are expanding across Greater Philadelphia.

Engagement type: 1099 independent contractor, commission-only, no base.

We are contracting with independent commission representatives to sell across our offerings. Depending on what you are strong at and what you bring, that can include:

- Event tickets, league and program registrations

- Venue, property, and institutional partnerships

- Sponsorships and business partnerships

- Event services such as photography, entertainment, and catering

- Venue amenity placements

- Referrals that convert into any of the above

What you put in: nothing but your time.

- No fee, no inventory, no purchase, no buy-in of any kind

- You are never asked to sell to friends or family

- Customers register and pay through our systems, so you never handle money

What we provide:

- Live programs and events already selling

- Optional marketing materials you may use

- The open market. We do not assign accounts, territories, quotas, or schedules

- No regional limit. If you bring us opportunity outside our current footprint, we will look at it

How you earn:

- No prior sales title required. Sell across any lane you are strong in

- Commission on the sales you bring in, at the rate set for that lane

- Paid on collected revenue only

- Your rate is set in your independent contractor agreement before any sale is credited, and varies by what you sell

- Paid per closed sale after the customer's payment clears. There is no pay period and no payroll

Independent contractor terms:

- This is a 1099 independent contractor engagement, not employment, and it is non-exclusive in both directions

- Representatives operate as their own business, whether as a sole proprietor, single-member LLC, or other entity, and remain free to work with other clients at any time

- You control your own hours, methods, tools, and approach, and you may engage your own help at your own expense

- No quota, no minimum, no required meetings

- Earnings rise and fall entirely with your results, so there is real opportunity for profit and loss

- No employee benefits, no paid time off, no workers' compensation coverage, no unemployment coverage

- You are responsible for your own taxes, business expenses, and insurance, including any workers' compensation or disability coverage you elect to carry

- Either party may end the engagement on written notice

- Representatives complete a W-9 and sign an independent contractor agreement before earning commissions
