Connections Night, Padel Club in Malvern

15 players, most on a padel court for the first time
Fifteen people spent the evening on court at a padel club in Malvern, most of them holding a padel racquet for the first time. An on-site pro ran the play and the night moved on doubles rotations, so nobody sat out and nobody had to introduce themselves twice. Food and photography handled by partners.
Spring 2026 Singles Ladder Season
Player-scheduled across the Main Line and Greater Philadelphia
27 players, 51 matches, four divisions, one season completed through a championship final
Onward Upward Sports & Events ran its Spring 2026 singles ladder season across four divisions, segmented by skill level and gender, with 27 players across the Main Line and Greater Philadelphia. Match play ran from March 31 through May 22.
The format was built for adults with real schedules. Players coordinated matches directly with their opponents inside a fixed season window, submitted results, and climbed the standings toward a playoff cutoff published at the start of the season.
By the numbers:
51 of 79 scheduled matches played
4 divisions, 5 to 10 players each
2 divisions reached playoff seeding
1 division completed its full round robin and playoff bracket, closing with a championship final

Twelve people spent the evening in Malvern at a Connections Night run by Onward Upward Sports & Events. The night was built around play rather than standing around with a name tag, so people met while doing something instead of introducing themselves in a circle.
